Minimum Payout
Payouts are processed through Stripe, our payment partner. When customers purchase your recipes, the funds are held in your Stripe account. Payouts are automatically transferred to your bank account according to your selected payout schedule.
The default payout schedule is daily, but you can choose weekly or monthly payouts from your payout settings. There's a 7-day holding period after each sale to account for potential refunds. After that, funds are released according to your schedule.
TasteTrade's standard commission is 15% of each sale. This means you keep 85% of the sale price. Payment processing fees (approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) are deducted separately by Stripe from your earnings.
Go to Settings > Payouts and click 'Connect Stripe Account'. You'll be guided through Stripe's onboarding process where you'll verify your identity and add your bank account details. This is required before you can receive any payouts.
You'll need: a valid government ID, your legal name and address, date of birth, last 4 digits of your SSN (US) or equivalent tax ID, and bank account/routing numbers. Business accounts may require additional documentation.
Payouts can be delayed due to: the 7-day holding period for new sales, bank processing times (1-2 business days), account verification issues, or if your earnings are below the minimum payout threshold ($10 USD). Check your Stripe dashboard for specific details.
The minimum payout threshold is $10 USD. If your available balance is below this amount, funds will accumulate until you reach the threshold. You can also manually request a payout of any amount through your Stripe dashboard.
Payouts are processed in USD. If your bank account is in a different currency, Stripe will convert the funds at the current exchange rate. Conversion fees may apply depending on your country and bank.
Your Creator Dashboard shows your earnings summary, including total revenue, pending payouts, and recent transactions. For detailed transaction history, visit the Stripe dashboard linked from your Payout Settings.
If a customer requests a refund within the 7-day window, the sale amount (including your earnings and our commission) is returned to the customer. Refunds after payout will be deducted from your future earnings.
Yes, you're responsible for reporting and paying taxes on your TasteTrade earnings. If you earn over $600 USD in a calendar year (US), you'll receive a 1099 form from Stripe. Consult a tax professional for advice specific to your situation.
Go to Settings > Payouts and click 'Manage Stripe Account'. From the Stripe dashboard, you can update your bank details, add backup payment methods, or change your payout schedule. Changes may take 1-2 business days to take effect.
Failed payouts are usually due to incorrect bank details or closed accounts. Stripe will notify you by email and retry the payout. Log into your Stripe dashboard to update your bank information. Failed payout amounts remain in your balance until successfully transferred.
Stripe Instant Payouts are available for eligible accounts. Funds are transferred to your debit card within minutes for a small fee (1% of the payout amount, minimum $0.50). Check your Stripe dashboard to see if you're eligible.
